Rossmoor Community Services District is excited to announce the installation of new LED street lighting scheduled for February 18, 2019. As part of an incentive program offered by Southern California Edison (SCE), the District will replace the High Pressure Sodium Vapor (HPSV) streetlights in all residential tracts and arterial streets with newer Light Emitting Diode (LED) technology. Conversion to the new LED technology will result in a savings to the District due to reduced energy usage.
Update on County Traffic Improvements: The crosswalk at Montecito and Druid will be removed during the slurry seal in the Spring. Curb cuts at Copa De Oro and Montecito have been installed. The crosswalk lines will be painted during the slurry seal in the Spring.

Rossmoor Community Services District outgoing President Tony DeMarco presented his 2018 State of the District Address at its Tuesday, January 8, 2019 regular meeting of the Board. The address focused on the financial, technological and operational accomplishments of the District, as well as important traffic and community issues over the past year.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve as your Board President in 2018,” said DeMarco.

OC Public Works will complete remedial repairs within the Rossmoor area of unincorporated Orange County adjacent to the cities of Los Alamitos and Seal Beach. This work is being completed in anticipation of a slurry seal and overlay project scheduled for Spring 2019. Construction activity consists of repairing and replacing damaged sections of concrete, including pedestrian access rampls, curbs and gutters, and drive approaches. OC Public Works will remove and replace damaged sections of asphalt pavement and seal existing cracks.
At its regular meeting of October 9, 2018, the Rossmoor Community Services District Board of Directors unanimously chose to appoint Mr. Joe Mendoza as the District’s new General Manager. Joe Mendoza was selected after a thorough recruitment and examination of qualified candidates. The appointment was effective on October 9, 2018.
